From Quiet Beginnings to the Spotlight: Lola’s Inspiring Journey

For three years, we had the pleasure of welcoming Lola into our student residence.

During her first year, Lola was very quiet and reserved. We mainly saw her when she needed help with everyday matters. At the time, she was studying for her CAP in featherwork at Lycée Octave Feuillet in Paris.

During her second year, as we took a greater interest in her work, we gradually discovered her world. She began telling us about feathers, their different qualities, and all the things that could be created with them. She started showing us her work, and we discovered a passionate and talented young woman… with a wonderful sense of humour!

During her third year, Lola truly blossomed. She found her place among the other young people in the residence, formed a little circle of friends, and became very close to her roommate. Wonderful friendships were formed, along with a few outings that made this final year even more special.

And all the while, her talent continued to grow.

After winning the regional Avenir Métiers d’Art Prize, Lola went on to win the National First Prize – Level 3 last February, with her work Iter – Ornate Trunk, which took more than 700 hours to create.

We are particularly proud of how far Lola has come: from the quiet young girl we first welcomed to the confident and accomplished young artist she has become today.
